The average start times listed below by month should only be used as a guideline, as actual start times may vary by as much as 30 minutes.

You may be surprised to learn that you do not need a large yard or facility in order to host a movie or game event. As a rule of thumb, we can typically setup our smallest screen for a movie showing, including allowing space for seating in a 15x30 foot space with no overhead obstructions such as roofs, trees, wires, etc.

Backyard Flicks encourages you to become familiar with the noise ordinances of your community and keep those in mind when planning your event. In most circumstances, if you take the time to make your neighbors aware of the event in advance, and even offer an invitation to join the party, complaints are not likely to occur.

Yes. Backyard Flicks offers the highest image quality possible for an experience like no other.

We understand that you cannot control the weather. We also know that you understand that electronic equipment is sensitive to excess moisture.

Backyard Flicks reserves the right to suggest that your event be rescheduled if weather forecasts show that rain is imminent. If the event is rescheduled due to weather, all rescheduling charges will be waived.

If however you decline our suggestion to reschedule in advance and the event does indeed get rained out, you will be charged a rescheduling fee.

Should you choose to cancel the event, rather than reschedule, you will forfeit your deposit.

The cost for the use of our generator is factored into price quotes for all public events. Most private homes have sufficient power sources to handle our equipment and therefore use of our generator is not included in our standard price quote. Should it be necessary for us to use our generator at your home, and extra charge will apply.

While Backyard Flicks does provide music prior to the start of our preshow and movie, we are not a DJ company. If you or your child have a particular playlist they would like played during this time, please let us know and we will connect your mp3 player to our system.

Therefore, if you are hosting a private event at your home and on your private property, a license is not required. Should you choose to play a movie in any public location such as a park, school, church, or office complex, a license would be required.

You will never need a license when using our equipment to play video games or view sporting events through Pay-Per-View, regardless of the location of your party.

The cost to obtain a license will vary depending on several factors such as: movie chosen, number of attendees, and if you are charging a movie entrance fee to attendees.

You can choose to show any movie, however Backyard Flicks highly encourages you to keep your audience in mind by choosing movies which are age appropriate for your guests.

Our customers are responsible for providing the movie. However, should you need assistance with obtaining a license, we will be happy to help. Backyard Flicks is equipped to play standard DVDs as well as BluRay discs.

You can try! While people have been showing movies outdoors and on bed sheets for years; this method will not create the professional, theater-quality, high definition picture and stereo sound which Backyard Flicks prides itself in.

Backyard Flicks Outdoor Cinema has three different screen sizes as well as a powered sound system which can accommodate 2 to 700 people.

We will provide the use of a Wii or xbox360 gaming console along with four controllers for our Standard Gaming Package. Should you choose the Ultimate Gamers’ Package, we will provide two xbox360 consoles (system linked) and eight controllers.

Our standard gaming package includes one game title of your choosing. Our Ultimate Gamers’ Package includes two games. These can either be two of the same game to be used in system link play, or they can be of two different games to be played individually, or paired with your own games for system link play.

Our standard gaming package allows for up to four players at once, depending on the game chosen. Our Ultimate Gamers Package allows for up to eight players at once. Additional players may rotate in, or players may play in competition format.
